Earthquake Magnitude 4.8 on Donggala in Donggala

Jurnal Utama. An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 occurred in Donggala, Central Sulawesi. Earthquake vibrations were felt in Palu and Parigi.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) informed that the earthquake occurred today (12/21/2018) at 09.22 WIB. The earthquake location is at coordinates 0.19 north latitude (LU) and 119.99 east longitude (BT).

The epicenter was on land 14 km east of Donggala. The epicenter of the earthquake is at a depth of 10 km.

Earthquake vibrations are felt on a scale II-III Mercally in Parigi, scale II Mercally in Palu and Sigi. This means that the vibration is felt by some people and makes objects hang swaying.

There have been no further reports about the impact of this earthquake.
